Hey Empire Builders,

Welcome to this week’s Franchise Empire Newsletter, where we share specific franchise opportunities that we think are interesting, and examples of everyday folks building their empires.

Want to keep up with our latest newsletters?

I learned something that really pissed me off recently.

We had someone join our program and start working with our team because they really wanted to find a business that they could replace their income with.

Unfortunately, they had worked with a Franchise Broker/Consultant who told them it was possible to make $200k in profit in their first year. 😧

WE WILL ALWAYS KEEP IT REAL WITH YOU.

Reality check….

It’s not happening.

The only way that would happen is by buying an existing franchise already producing that or close to it.

My point is, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is and it pisses me off that there’s people out there in the industry giving people false hope, and creating improper expectations.

Your goal in your first year or two is NOT to profit a lot. That means you aren’t investing in your business.

The first few years you need to invest BACK into hiring more people, spending more money on marketing…

It also takes some time to get ramped up.

So don’t go working with people or getting sucked into get rich quick schemes because people tell you what you want to hear.

Listen to the people that are NOT telling you what you want to hear.

“Most people overestimate what they can do in 1 year and underestimate what they can do in 5 years.”

Don’t be that person.

Much love,

Tariq

They joined our Zero to Profitable Franchise program, and did a complete 180, and we helped that buy a franchise that is about $200k to get open and shows $1.7M in sales in their FDD.

Benefits for the Franchisee:

  • Necessity – Pools have to be maintained weekly, if not daily. From cleaning, to chlorine management to fixing small issues. Fewer pool owners are wanting to take a DIY approach and are now wanting and willing to hire a pool maintenance company.

  • Stable, Recurring Revenue – Most people need maintenance every week. Once established, you’ll have a steady stream of income every week.

  • Targeted Marketing – ASP has the addresses of every pool owner in your territory. You’ll send out a mailing to only pool owners so you don’t waste money sending mail to non-pool owners. You’ll also do digital marketing as well.

  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Training – You or an employee will be trained to become a CPO. This designation is required to work on commercial pools.

  • Authority Brands – You’ll not only have an opportunity to network and get referrals from sister companies, but you’ll have the chance to own multiple businesses under the same umbrella company utilizing the same systems/software.

Episode #64: Why Drew Brees Is Buying 150 Franchises

Alex is business partners with former NFL hall of famer quarterback Drew Brees in opening a whopping150 franchise locations across the country.

This is really an epic podcast episode whether you are a franchise buyer, franchisee or zor.

We dove into how Alex built up a 32 location wireless store franchise portfolio, how he financed them and eventually had a successful exit.

He could have sailed off into the sunset, but instead he owns 8 different businesses, with one of them being an Area Representative for the franchise everbowl, with already 40 franchise locations secured out of the 150 they committed to opening.

We dove into the details of how his agreement is structured, how he was able to get into a lot of his businesses with $0 of his own personal money, along with how he finds operating partners to run his businesses for him.

This is just epic episode with a serious move and shaker not just in the franchise world, but in the business world in general.

With that said, sit back, relax and enjoy the episode.
